Our Vision for Liberation: Engaged Palestinian Leaders & Intellectuals Speak Out aims to challenge several strata of the current Palestine discourse that have led to the present dead end: the American pro-Israel political discourse, the Israeli colonial discourse, the Arab discourse of purported normalization, and the defunct discourse of the Palestinian factions. None promote justice, none have brought resolution; none bode well for any of the parties involved.

Even as political appeals to the moribund Oslo peace process are suffocated by their sheer hypocrisy, and apartheid charges by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and a series of UN Special Rapporteurs point to a two-state solution of an entirely different order, this new book directs our attention instead towards a veritable Renaissance in the Palestinian struggle.

Our Vision For Liberation: Engaged Palestinian Leaders & Intellectuals Speak Out leaves behind the desultory litanies of Palestinian victimization and places lift-off into the hands of Palestinian people themselves—in Palestine and in the global Palestinian Diaspora—in all the fields of their unrelenting efforts.  Like the hybrid (non-military) struggles being waged elsewhere, it leaves no sector untouched, and its forces are legion, local and worldwide. This book reflects the penetration and presence of the Palestinian struggle into fields as diverse as archaeology, journalism,  religion, culture (film, books, arts & crafts), education, business, charitable giving, and indeed even in sports and cuisine.

Like the impact of the Jewish Diaspora that enabled the creation of the state of Israel, this mobilization of the Palestinian Diaspora is an emergent force in the hybrid struggle for hearts and minds.
