Abdel Nabi
Abdel Nabi started her journalism career with
Al Ahram at 19 as an intern for two summers in 1969, and became a staffer
there in 1971.She spent 22 years with AlAhram newspaper as its senior
presidency correspondent equivalent to senior white House
correspondent.
Her
best coverages for Al Ahram were the Lebanese civil war, the
Hicjacking of the Egyptian Plane in Malta, the German Unification, and the
UN sponsored elections in Namibia.
In 1993, she joined the United nations when Boutros Ghali was at its'
helm, she was the Deputy Director for the UNITED NATIONS INFORMATION
CENTER and the UN INFORMATION FOCAL POINT IN THE GULF REGION 1994-1997.
In 1997, joined UNHCR, as their senior public information officer for the
Arab World.
She is currently, the correspondent of the Kuwaiti News Agency in Geneva
and since 1999.
