Contributes to founding first Union for Unemployed, Irbil, Iraq 1992.
Spokesman for Iraqi refugees seeking asylum in Denmark 1994-1995.
Member of Amnesty International 1998-2002.
Member of the board of Iraqi Society for Human Rights in Denmark, 1998-2000.
Broadcast journalist and presenter at Radio Solidarity in Copenhagen.
Advocate for the abolition of the death penalty.

Publications
Essays in the magazine of the Kurdish Communist Party „Rikai Kurdistan“, as well as in an-Nashra al-ikhbariyya, al-Hayat, al-Wugdan. He also works as publisher’s editor and translator for political publications.

Akrawi helped creating the web sites for various parties of the left and feminist organizations.

2000 Diploma in Computer Science at the International College Copenhagen.
Since 2004 advanced education in internet applications, programming and general  communication technologies.
Today Akrawi develops software, operating systems and web government technology.
