Norddine Zouitni is a Moroccan poet, translator and researcher in literature and cultural studies. He is a member of the House of Poetry in Morocco. He currently works as a professor of English Studies at Chouaib Doukkali University, El Jadida. Zouitni's poetry is characterized by a tone of anguish and an outcry of despair against the modern world. His visionary poems express sometimes apocalyptic dreams and nightmares of destruction and endings. Another stylistic feature of his poetry is its rapid transformation as the poet's consciousness, like Dante in the Divine Comedy, keeps ascending towards vaster realms. Zouitni is currently the editor of Poetry International Rotterdam's Morocco pages. He is author of: alqurban wal Malikka (The offering and the queen). Manahil, Casablanca, 2007 difaf (Banks). Al Kalima, Tunis, 2009 qalbu attalj (Snow heart). Kuttabuna Linnashr, Beirut, 2015
