1962- Born in Aleppo, Syria
1984- Participated in a festival for young writers and poets
sponsored by the students union at Tishreen University in Syria.

1985- Graduated from Tishreen University, Syria, with a bachelor’s
degree in English literature.

1985-1986- Participated in festivals for young writers and poets
sponsored by the Arab Writers Union in Syria.

1986- I came to the United States. (US citizen)

1995- . Graduate studies in English and American
Literature at ( E. M. U)

1999- Published first collection of poems. ( خيول الضوء والغربة)
“Horses of Light and Alienation”, by Cultural Ministry of Syria.

2001- Published second collection of poems. “Songs of the Soul” (اغنيات الروح) by Arab Writers Union Press
1997-2002- Member of board of trustees of the Arab American Literary Association ( رابطة القلم العربية الامريكية ). Head of the Literature and Culture Committee

* The chief editor of “Pages”
( صفحات ), the cultural and literary magazine published in Arabic and English.

1993-2004- Participated in many evening literary performances and symposiums sponsored by different American and Arab American cultural clubs such as; Arab American Literary Association, The House of Arabic Culture (البيت العربي الثقافي), Bint Jebail Cultural and Social Club, Writers Without Borders Organization, Creative Art center, Bagley Housing Gallery, U.of.M and U.of. Detroit Mercy.
- I have many poems, articles, and interviews published such as in Tishreen newspaper, Al-Isbu Al-Adabi, Azzaman, Al-Hakeem, Al-Arabi Assageer, Diwan Al-Arab, A celebration of Women Writers and The Arab American Journal.
- 2004 –Elected vice president of The Arab American Literary Association(Rabitat Al-Kalam Al-Arabia Al-Amerikia)
2005 - (The Light of my Nations) a collection of poems for children was published
2007 – ( The Flames of an Emigrant) a collection of poems for adults was published
another collection of poems for adults (The illumination of Dream and Eagerness) is ready for publishing
2007- Elected the president of The Arab American Literary Association ( RKAA) رابطة القلم العربية الأمريكية

• My first two collection of poems in Arabic are considered as part of the curriculum in the post modern Arab American poets after Jibran, and have been taught at the University of Muhammad the fifth in Morocco by professor Latifa Halim 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 school years. Professor Halim is also a researcher and a novelist. She also included my poetic experience in the anthology for Arab women poets living outside the Arab world.
• My poetic experience is also included in Dr. Lotfi Haddad’s anthology, which highlights over a hundred Arabic poets and writers live in the Diaspora.
• My poems ( In Praise of Beauty)-English- and ( The Symphony of Roses)-Arabic- are considered in a British Artist’s exhibit-Mary Plant(Anthogram poem) sharing many other poets of their poems written in their own languages all over the world .
