An Activist in Gender Issues & Human Rights. I’m a writer with nine published books so far. I am Chairman of the Board "Heya Foundation for Woman" as well as Director and trainer of the "NWT" workshop for storytelling and feminist writing.                                                     

 I work in providing support to abused women and institutional discrimination on gender basis. I’m also keen to develop sustainable careers for single & divorced women through providing opportunities for retraining and raising the profile of vulnerable women in the media and other platforms.   

I’m also involved, both at the individual level and the organizational level, in a project to defend women against violence and discrimination “Violence & Discrimination against women.

Throughout my career as a writer and novelist, I worked with a few NGOs and national bodies to deliver courses in creative writing to children and women. I also gave workshops and courses to adult learners across the social and gender divide and age groups.

I am a member of a number of cultural and professional bodies in Egypt. Among these are the International Pen Club, The Egyptian Writers Union, Women Writers Association of Egypt, Cairo Atelier for Artists and Writers.
