EVE
(Electronic Vocabulary Exercises) is designed specially for students of
Arabic who would like to learn Arabic Vocabulary both faster and easier.
It has two types of drills:
1- Word
Power Drills
2-
Concentration Squares Drills
The Word
Power Drills consist of multiple-choice selections where the computer
supplies a word either in Arabic or English and the student would select
the right meaning from among five choices. In all cases, when the student
would fail to choose the right meaning, the program would supply it.
The
Concentration Squares Drills consists of several squares, which include a
certain number of Arabic words and their meanings in English, which appear
scattered all over the board. The student would click on any word and then
click on its meaning. The program accepts only the right meaning and if
asked for help would supply it.
Both these
types of Drills include FOUR groups of Arabic words:
1- Simple
Quranic Vocabulary
2- Advanced
Quranic Vocabulary
3- A list of
the most frequently used Arabic words for Beginning students
4- Words
chosen directly from the Dictionary for Advanced students
In all cases
the EVE program divides the list of vocabulary items into a number of
lessons and continues to supply the user with words of one lesson at a
time till the student would move to another lesson. The program also
allows the student to use a number of lessons for review. In this case the
program would supply words from all the designated review lessons. This
Program is a powerful tool for learning Arabic Vocabulary.
