A Captive in Algiers

In 1788, a young Italian tourist guide struggles with the elements and his own identity when he is swept out to sea and taken to a slave market by Algerian corsairs. Forced to confront his origins, his beliefs, and his own shortcomings while fighting to survive, he makes a calculated sacrifice to aid the companions he finds on the way.
