Hend Jouda

A Palestinian poet born in Al-Bureij refugee camp in Gaza in 1983, she writes short stories and poetry. Her work has been published on various websites, and she has participated in numerous cultural events held in Gaza. She has also written screenplays for several documentaries and has worked on sound recordings.

She has worked in radio program production and has experience with the Workers' Radio in Gaza. She produced and presented a morning program on Radio Al-Hurriya in Gaza called "Good Morning, My Homeland." She received an award of appreciation for her short story from the local organization Afkar Youth Association and the gold prize at the Arab Youth Gathering Festival in Cairo in 2006. Her first poetry collection, "Someone Always Leaves," was published by Mosaic Publishing House in Amman at the end of 2013. Her poetry collection, "No Sugar in the City," was published by Khuta Publishing and Distribution in 2016, and her collection "The Fall of the War Cloak" was published by Al-Mutawassit Publications in 2016. She currently serves as the managing editor of the literary and cultural magazine "28," published in Gaza.

She participated in the 2025 "Poetry Market", one of the most prominent poetry events held annually in France.
