Academic, Historian, and translator specializing in Middle Eastern-European relations with expertise in diplomatic history, intercultural studies, and literary translation. Over 20 years of experience spanning archival research, university teaching, and translation of more than 60 books between Arabic, Hungarian, Italian and English. Author and editor of 20 books and more than 90 published research papers/book chapters. Principal investigator of 9 international projects, and effective member of another 4 with Italy, Bulgaria and Hungary. Member of 15+ international organizations spanning Egypt, Algeria, UAE, India, Italy, Hungary, Lebanon, and Qatar, serving on editorial review boards, scientific advisory committees, and professional associations in translation, history, and academia. Recipient of prestigious international awards including the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding (2024) and the Balint Balassi Memorial Sword Award (2024), in addition to the Milán Füst First Prize (2019).
