Planted an arm apart,
in the same cradle of earth.
Their roots entwined.
They stretched and rose.
They embraced upon the rim of the skies.
The house lay sheltered beneath their arms.
Embrace
By: Ahmed Abuel Magd - on: Saturday 26 July 2025 - Genre: From our Writers Workshop
Two young palm trees.
Planted an arm apart,
The rain descended.
The wind stirred.
The sun burned fierce.
They embraced upon the rim of the skies.
The house lay sheltered beneath their arms.
Planted an arm apart,
They embraced upon the rim of the skies.
The house lay sheltered beneath their arms.
