* Received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the United Arab Emirates University in 1985.

* Received a General Diploma in Education from the United Arab Emirates University in 1997.


Professional and Educational Career:

* Began working at the Ministry of Education and Youth in September 1971.

* Served as Principal of Al Ghubaiba Secondary School in the Sharjah Educational Zone.

* Received the Khalifa bin Zayed Award for Outstanding Teachers in 1997 in recognition of her efforts in the field of education.

Literary and Creative Pioneering:

* Considered a pioneer of the short story in the UAE, she was the first Emirati woman to publish a short story.

* Published her first story, "The Departure," in Dubai Magazine in 1970, for which she received an award from the Ministry of Youth.

* Her stories address the concerns and social issues of Emirati women, highlighting their aspirations amidst local material and environmental changes. * She has published several short story collections and books, including:

* Departure (short story collection - 1992).

* North Winds (short story collection - 1999).

* Playing on the Strings of Joy (short story collection - 2007).

* And Those Days (a book chronicling her life and the development of society in Sharjah).

* I Am Your Beautiful Childhood and the Whispers of Confused Souls.

* Some of her works have been translated into French and English.

Cultural Activities and Administrative Positions:

* Founding member of the Emirates Writers Union.

* Founding member of the Sharjah Women's Union.

* Head of the Emirates Women Writers Association at the Sharjah Girls' Clubs (from 1989 to 2005).

* Contributed to the founding and management of several magazines, including:

* Member of the editorial board of "Voice of Women" magazine.

* Editor-in-Chief of "Flowers" magazine (the first children's magazine in the UAE).

* Editor-in-Chief of "Ashra'a" magazine (the first women's literary magazine published by the Association of Women Writers).

* She has won several awards for short story writing within the UAE.

* She was selected as the "Cultural Personality" for the Sharjah Award for Gulf Women's Creativity in its eighth edition (2026), in recognition of her distinguished career and significant contributions to the cultural scene.
