Ali R. Jaber is a Lebanese author, researcher, and political writer based in Michigan, United States, with family roots in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon. His writing and research focus on Lebanon and the broader Middle East, particularly Lebanese politics, history, religion, political institutions, southern Lebanon, Jabal Amel, identity, sovereignty, and the Lebanese diaspora.
He is the author of Lebanon: A Chronicle of Resilience, an exploration of Lebanon's history, identity, national memory, and endurance through periods of political and social upheaval, and Nabih Berri: The Southern Force in the Lebanese State, a political study examining Nabih Berri, the Amal Movement, political representation in southern Lebanon, and the relationship between political mobilization and the institutions of the Lebanese state.
Jaber earned an Associate in Business Administration from Henry Ford College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. His interdisciplinary interests extend beyond his formal business education into political science, Middle Eastern affairs, history, and religion.
Through his books, research-based articles, and political writing, Jaber seeks to connect historical inquiry with political analysis, with particular attention to the communities and institutions that have shaped modern Lebanon.
