ليحن الوقت لنتطلع إلي عظمة حضارتنا القديمة. كان اليونانيون يرحلون إلي طيبة حتى يتعلموا من الفلسفة في "" بيت الحياة "" والآن إذا تأملنا في الحضارة الغربية نجد آثار هذا الأساس القديم . علينا أن نخلق حلقة الاتصال بين قديمنا المجهول وحاضرنا العربي الأثير ومستقبلنا الغامض في انتظار نهضة جديدة .

النيل والفيضان أسسا الفكر المصري في كل الأزمنة ، فهل يتأثر هذا الفكر بعد بناء السد العالي ؟ لا أظن ولا يجوز.

الفنان . اسم علي مسمى . أتمنى أن نجد أسلوبا جديدا للديموقراطية يتميز بالعناية والاهتمام بالفنون حتى تتوفر الظروف الكافية لشعبنا لممارسة القوة الخلاقة الموروثة من قدماء المصريين .

اسمحى لي أن أغير نظرتك حول غموض وتعقيد الفكر في مصر القديمة . والعجيب في هذه الحضارة أنها استمرت لآلاف السنين دون أن تتغير عقائدها الأساسية المهيمنة والمبنية علي فكرة الرجوع الأبدي للنور والفيضان . الأساليب والتعبير تغيرت لكن الأساس واحد هو نور وحياة .

Thank you for appreciating the central role of Hatshepsout in the
history of humanity. There is a woman whose reign expressed its power in
art, social welfare and peaceful coexistence.

I feel we are on the same wavelength. Ancient Egypt thought was not
dogmatic.The change of names and relationships among gods and goddesses
refer to the multiple ways of grasping poetically the world and its unknown
forces. Reaching a balance between the incertitudes of life and the need for
confortable certanties in religion remains the unsolved question . Children
and adolescends do need certainties. Adults are drawn to questions. How can
we reach an equilibrium between these two facts when we are faced with the
education of the young? Do we have the right to burden him or her with our
questions?

Priesthood was a powerful institution in Thebes at the time of
Hatshepsout. Later in the XVIIIth dynasty Akhenaton and Nefertiti
established a new capital in Tell-el-Amarna in order to fight the power of
the priests. It is usually believed that they are at the source of
monotheism, thus simplifying the ancient Egyptian religion . I believe they
have developped the ideas present in Hatshepsout's vision of the pharaonic
myth, adding splendour to splendour , inventing a new poetical art to grasp
the unknown. The complexity of ancient Egyptian thought stems from the fact
that throughout the centuries and millenaries the same basic hopes and
threats common to the Egyptians were expressed in different symbolic or
poetical forms.

Hatshepsout was not the first neither was she the last woman Pharao.
But she definitely was the greatest with Nefertiti, because Nefertiti did
share the pharaonic power with Akhenaton. Yes, it is an emotional relief to
go back to ancient Egypt where women had quite a different status than the
one she suffers nowadays. I wish we could take lessons from our past history
and learn as well how to appreciate and enjoy its creative art.
