Ibrahim Nasrallah is a Palestinian novelist, writer, poet, and writer, whose works have been translated into various languages.
So far, he has published 15 poetry collections and 22 novels, including his novel project (The Palestinian Comedy), which consists of 12 novels covering more than 250 years of modern Palestine history. He translated five novels and a poetry collection into English, and four books into Italian. His novel was also translated into Danish and another into Turkish and Persian. He is also a painter and photographer, and has had four photography exhibitions.
Nasrallah won nine prizes, including the Booker Prize in 2018 for his novel “The Second War of the Dog,” and the prestigious Sultan Al Owais Prize for Arabic Poetry in 1997. His novel “The Wilds of Fever” was chosen by the British newspaper The Guardian as one of the ten most important novels written by Arabs or foreigners about the Arab world. In 2012, he won the Jerusalem Prize for Culture and Creativity, which was given for the first time in recognition of his literary works.
In January 2014, he volunteered to climb the Kilimanjaro summit, accompanying Palestinian children who lost their legs due to the Zionist occupation forces, and they reached the summit. He wrote a novel about this experience entitled (The Souls of Kilimanjaro) 2015, and this novel won the Katara Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2016. In 2020, he won Katara Award for the second time.
