About Shalakany in Arabic

Khaled El Shalakany is an engineer and lawyer with degrees in engineering, management and law from several universities including Cairo University, the University of Toronto and Cambridge. He is the managing partner of Shalakany Law office (established 1912). He has authored a number of articles on law.

He translated Eric Fromm’s ‘The Heart of Man’ into Arabic (Dar El Thakafa Al Gadida 1992). He has published two collections of short stories and photographs (‘20x20’ Trafford Canada 2009 and ‘Cleopatra’s Bath’ Trafford Canada 2016) and a booklet in Arabic on politics (2011).

In 2017 Khaled El Shalakany established the web site www.thaqafni.net to increase the cultural awareness and knowledge of Egyptian youth.

ﻟﻪ ﻋﺩﺓ ﺃﺑﺣﺎﺙ ﻭﻣﺅﻟﻔﺎﺕ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﻧﻭﻥ ﻭﻛﺫﻟﻙ ﺗﺭﺟﻣﺔ ﻟﻛﺗﺎﺏ ﺍﺭﻳﻙ ﻓﺭﻭﻡ: "ﻗﻠﺏ ﺍﻹﻧﺳﺎﻥ" ﺩﺍﺭ ﺍﻟﺛﻘﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻟﺟﺩﻳﺩة 1992 ﻭﻣﺟﻣﻭﻋﺗﻳﻥ ﻣﻥ ﺍﻟﻘﺻﺹ ﺍﻟﻘﺻﻳﺭﺓ ﺑﺎﻹﻧﺟﻠﻳﺯﻳﺔ ﻣﻊ ﺻﻭﺭ ﻓﻭﺗﻭﻏﺭﺍﻓﻳﺔ ﻧﺷﺭﺕ ﻓﻲ كندا ﻭﻛﺗﻳﺏ: "ﺣﻘﻳﻘﺔ ﺍﻟﺳﻳﺎﺳﺔ ﺑﻌﻳﺩﺍ ﻋﻥ ﺍﻟﻬﺭﺍء" 2011

في 2017 أنشأ خالد الشلقاني موقع www.thaqafni.net ﻟﻧﺷﺭ ﺍﻟﻭﻋﻲ ﻭﺍﻟﻣﻌﺭﻓﺔ ﻟﺩﻯ اﻟﺷﺑﺎﺏ ﺍﻟﻣﺻﺭﻱ.
